IT, telecom assured of govt support

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Thursday assured the IT and telecom sectors to consider their proposals for tax concessions.
The finance minister said this while presiding over a meeting on the tax related issues of IT and telecom sectors. He acknowledged the role of both the sectors in overall economic development of the country.
The minister pledged all possible support to add to the ease of doing business and further facilitation to both the sectors especially for increasing their exports.
Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haq, Secretary IT & Telecom, Chairman PTA, Chairman FBR and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
