ISLAMABAD: The King Salman Relief Centre has completed the distribution of 50,000 polyester quilts and 25,000 winter kits among the victims of this monsoon’s cataclysmic floods as part of its 2022 winter relief project in Pakistan, the Centre said Wednesday.
“King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) has started a project to distribute 25,000 winter kits among recent flood affected and deserving people living in Pakistan in collaboration with NDMA”, a statement put out by the Centre said.
The package includes 50,000 polyester quilts and 25,000 winter kits comprising warm shawls for men and women and warm clothing for children and adults.
The relief goods were distributed in 14 districts of Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan, Sindh, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provinces including Ganche, Skardu, Nagar, Astor, Ghizer, Chitral, Swat, Upper Dir, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Dadu, Jamshoro, Badin & Qamber Shahdakot.
The Centre said the relief goods from King Salman were distributed “in a transparent manner with the help of NDMA and provincial government, which will benefit more than 175,000 people in these districts”.
