Death toll rises to 100 in Peshawar mosque suicide bombing

ISLAMABAD: The death toll from the suicide bombing at the Peshawar mosque rose to 100 on Tuesday after rescue teams retrieved more bodies from the debris and called off the search for survivors of the terrorist attack in the highly guarded site where several hundred police and security men had gathered for afternoon prayers.

Prime Minister Sharif optimistic on revival of IMF bailout deal

ISLAMABAD: The chances of Pakistan doing a deal with the International Monetary Fund have grown since a meeting in Islamabad due this week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday, adding that measures needed to pull the economy out of the unparalleled crisis are likely to bring even more pain.
