4 border guards killed in terror attack from Iran

Terrorists used Iranian soil to ambush a Pakistani border patrol in the Panjgur district of the southern Balochistan province which shares a long border with the western neighbour.

ISLAMABAD: A group of terrorists Wednesday used Iranian soil to stage a cross-border attack on a Pakistani border patrol, killing four security personnel, the military’s Public Relations wing said in a press note at Rawalpindi.

The press note announcing the incident said Iranian authorities have been “asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side”.

The attack came when the Pakistani security unit was on a patrol along the border in the Chukab Sector of the Panjgur district of Pakistan’s southern Balochistan, which shares a 909-km border with the Islamic Republic’s Sistan and Baluchestan province.

The press bite said: “Today, in a terrorist activity from across Pakistan Iran border in Chukab Sector, District Panjgur, Balochistan, 4 security forces personnel have embraced martyrdom.

“Terrorists used Iranian soil to target a convoy of security forces patrolling along the border. Iranian side has been asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side”.
