Inovi Telecom has become the first domestic manufacturer to export 120,000 mobile phone handsets from Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority OPTA) Wednesday celebrated the achievement of an export milestone by Inovi Telecom, the first domestic manufacturer to export a bulk of mobile handsets.
“The export ceremony of locally manufactured mobile phones by PTA Authorization holder, Inovi Telecom, was held at PTA headquarters today”, a PTA statement said.
The ceremony was held to mark Inovi Telecom’s achievement of exporting one hundred and twenty thousand (120,000) “Manufactured in Pakistan” mobile phones of SEGO brand to African markets via the United Arab Emirates.
The ceremony was attended by PTA’s Member (Finance) Muhammad Naveed, Member (Compliance & Enforcement) Khawar Siddique Khokhar, and senior officers.
Both PTA Members also extended their continued support for the development of a mobile device manufacturing ecosystem in Pakistan.
Also in attendance on the occasion, CEO Inovi Telecom Zeeshan Mian Noor thanked and appreciated PTA for the active support and taking measures to help bolster the mobile industry.
Inovi Telecom received mobile device manufacturing authorization in accordance with the PTA Mobile Device Manufacturing Regulations 2021 on April 9, 2021.
